Excellent opportunities for BC/BE Pediatric hospitalist in central Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Opportunity to join a solid group of physicians that cover a busy emergency department and a ten-bed pediatric inpatient unit. The hospital is in the midst of a large expansion and this fall, will be opening a well-baby as well as a Level 2A nursery along with Labor and Delivery. Looking for additional pediatric hospitalists to help cover all three areas (ER, inpatient, and nursery/L&D) as well as to help teach rotating third year medical students.
Physician will be on staff at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. BWMC is a suburban community hospital consisting of 311 beds with a medical staff of 600+ physicians, affiliated with the University of Maryland. BWMC's services include a freestanding Comprehensive Cancer Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Wound Healing Center, The Maryland Vascular Center, Joint & Spine Centers and the Aiello Breast Center. BWMC recently opened a 6 story patient tower, which includes 111 private medical surgical beds, a state of the art 24 bed intensive care unit, and a new obstetrical unit targeted to open in the Fall of 2009.
