Joel Klein, M.D.,
President, Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians
Dr. Klein is president of the Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians, Inc., the emergency physicians group at BWMC, as well as, the assistant chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed an internship and residency in emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, as well as a masters degree in Medical Ethics at the University of Washington. Dr. Klein is board certified in emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He chairs BWMC's ethics committee and Health Information Management committee and co-chairs the Medical Staff section of BWMC's Delivering the Future Capital Campaign. He was elected councilor and member of the Board of Directors in Maryland ACEP and is an active member of the legislative and policy branch of ACEP.
Neel Vibhakar, M.D.,
Chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine
Dr. Vibhakar is chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed an internship and residency in emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Vibhakar is board certified in emergency medicine. He chairs the hospital-wide Annual Fall Medical Symposium and the Sepsis Task Force, is a member of the Medical Staff Quality Improvement Committee, Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Peer Review Committee, Performance Improvement/Risk Management Committee, Cardiology Collaborative Team and the Medical Executive Committee. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
