Physicians can participate as members of the medical staff of Baltimore Washington Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of Maryland Medical System, or admit to an “inpatient only” hospitalist group. Baltimore Washington Medical Center is a suburban community hospital consisting of 600+ physicians to include resident rotation and faculty affiliation with the University of Maryland.
Within the past 5 years, Baltimore Washington Medical Center has expanded its services to include: a new Emergency Department, freestanding Comprehensive Cancer Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Wound Healing Center, The Maryland Vascular Center, Advanced Orthopedics and the Aiello Breast Center. A physician referral program provided by the Hospital is also in-place to enhance and/or develop patient clientele.
